DECATUR, Ga. - Head Coach Jared Rose enters the 2026 soccer season with high hopes, as his solid core of ten returning players will be joined by ten newcomers as the Agnes Scott soccer program adds a checkmark for "depth" to their resume. A year ago, injuries plagued the Scotties as they lost top-scorer Iris Ray to injury halfway through the season. The Scotties were 5-3-2 before injuries to Ray and several others left the team short-handed, finishing the season with a 5-11-2 record and recording only one goal through the final 8 contests.

Leading returners for the Scotties include senior goalkeeper Olivia Rosario, who has led the Scotties in goal for three seasons, racking up impressive numbers including 150 saves in the 2025 season, 201 in 2024, and 97 in her first-year campaign in 2023. The Scottie defense returns almost the entire roster from a year ago, led by seniors Ashlee Parkey and Piper Martinsen, as well as sophomore defender/midfielder Tigui Diallo.

On the offensive side, top shot-taker and goal-scorer Laura Damonte (4 goals/34 shots/19 shots on goal) is the main returning threat to give the Scotties' an offensive burst. Other veterans include Darcy Anderson, who started 11 of 16 games a year ago, Sadie Mansfield (17 GP/10 GS), and Kaia Middleton (14 GP/8 GS). Also returning are sophomore goalkeeper Mariana Serment-Alvarez, and forward Elise Brown. 

Among the new faces for the Scotties, Coach Rose and his returning staff of assistants Kai Uchimura, Chris Madrigal and Kristin Hurst, welcome a variety of new players to Gellerstedt Field. Shoring up the defense will be Gabrielle Pauling, Juana Bertran-Silva, Dewi Hammer, Lydia Sheferaw and Hennelis Rodas. Joining the offensive players will be Jillian Rodriguez, Vashondra Sandifer, and Mahdi Walker. Utility players who could end up at either end of the field include Anginelle Victor and Nadia Mathews.

The Scotties have a loaded schedule this season, with 18 matches on the docket. Along with the 6 other Collegiate Conference of the South schools, Agnes Scott will host Oglethorpe, Wesleyan (GA), Salem, Warren Wilson, Johnson & Wales, The W (formerly Mississippi University for Women), and Toccoa Falls. The road contests outside of the CCS include Berry, Regent, Sweet Briar, Trinity College of Jacksonville, and a trip to Berea College (Ky.). The season kicks off at home on Tuesday, September 1, as the Scotties host Oglethorpe for a 5:30 PM contest at Gellerstedt Field on the campus of Agnes Scott.
